Flex doubleclick problem pen tablet

Because of some wrist strain I started out using a wacom pen tablet. It works perfect for me but I’m experiencing some problems with using it in flex.

It seems that the doubleclick event requires a very steady hand, because it handles it on one pixel so it seems. I’m not that steady:)

I tried using the button on the pen to fire the doubleclick action, but that doesn’t help much. It still requires that the pen is absolutly still and not moving to another pixel. Why is it handled this way in flex and perhaps flash aswell? I have no trouble with other applications so far with this.

So has anyone experienced the same issue and is there a solution to this problem? Let me know.

i have the same issue, and same reason why i went to my wacom.

only thing ive noticed i can do, is be VERY steady and click and it does work.

kinda hard to debug when you dont know WHY its happening, but whence it was figured out, it made sense.

now, who’s onus is it to fix? adobe or wacom?

I have the exact same problem. I think it is a Flex issue.

I think the problem is indeed with flex. Apperently it only fires a doubleclick event when there has been clicked on the same pixel twice.

I’ve recieved a new tablet a bamboo one ( I had a volito ) and I must say it is easier to keep it steady now on that pixel and use the button on the pen as doubleclick. But I can’t imagine that a client will figure that out if they are using a pen tablet
